Reiki
Where does it originate
from?

No one really knows ……..
It is said it can be traced
back to ancient Tibet and
that the techniques are
recorded in ancient Sanskrit
writings. More recently the
term Reiki comes from a
format created by a Japanese
man called Dr Usui who
“rediscovered” the system
to harness subtle energy
for healing. The actual word
Reiki means Universal Life
Force (Re = Universal and Ki = Life Force)

What can Reiki do
We tend to have hectic lifestyles in the modern world and stress is a common feature. Having a Reiki session of healing helps people relax, unwind, reconnect with themselves and can be useful when suffering illness.

Reiki energy is a harmonious energy and will work on all the different levels – physical, mental and emotional helping align the person into a state of balance. Reiki is non-invasive and therefore can be experienced along side conventional medicine such as chemotherapy etc.

What to expect in a Reiki Sessions
Some personal history, conditions, expectations etc will be discussed and then you lie down on a massage table fully clothed. The therapist will then place their hands on different points on your body giving healing.
A session will last for approx. 1 hr
